Project Location:

Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

Project Brief:

To create a luxurious downstairs cloakroom for family and guests .....when we are allowed.

The brief was simple - create a room that had multiple uses. The client wanted a downstairs cloakroom which would work everyday for the family, but something that was luxurious space for guests to use when visiting while being robust enough to be able to weather the odd muddy puppy. They also wanted a room which could be converted to provide an en-suite to a downstairs bedroom if needed in the future. We suggested a full wet room with a high L shaped glass door which can be angled to allow easier access. The whole room was tiled so it can be kept looking fresh - even after a puppy shower. The wall of split face tiles in lovely shades of taupe, beige and white make a striking feature in the small room. We hoped to create a bit of 'wow' for our clients in a room which could easily have looked plain and functional and thankfully our clients were delighted.
